My journey
From a consumer to a creator. Here is how.
In 2016, my tech journey started with a simple question: How can I leverage the internet for a side hustle? After doing thorough research, I found that virtual assistance was an ideal match for my skill set. Consequently, I created a profile on Fiverr and by 2018, I had amassed over 700 glowing 5-star reviews.
In 2019, my professional path led me to a UK-based company. During the same year, I pursued my master's thesis on the gig economy, an endeavor that significantly altered my career aspirations. Fueled by a passion for software and its promising future, I made the decision to delve into web development.
From mid-2019 to 2020, I committed my time and energy to a comprehensive study of web technologies. In 2021, armed with newfound knowledge, I started building full-stack web applications. With a growing collection of projects and a solid foundation of experience, I took the leap into freelance web development and joined Upwork.
Starting in 2022, I've been dedicated to building full-stack web applications for clients across the globe. Since then, I have successfully built more than 10 applications, some of which are already generating multi-million-dollar revenues. Nowadays, my daily routine primarily revolves around writing code and producing technical articles.

Regarding MongoDB, I appreciate its flexibility but find the process of manual migrations cumbersome. I would appreciate robust first-party tooling to streamline the process.
Express 4 Years
I appreciate Express for its unopinionated approach, but it's disappointing that TypeScript isn't readily supported. This often leads to additional configuration complexities.
React 4 Years
While vanilla React doesn't quite align with my preferences, I have a strong affinity for the library and its robust ecosystem, especially when coupled with a framework like Next.js.

The beauty of Node.js is that I can use JavaScript for server-side development. This allows me to leverage a single language across the entire application stack.
